WELCOME NEW HCDCC ALTERNATE MEMBERS!

After considering many well-qualified applicants for the four open positions, the Howard County Democratic Central Committee (HCDCC) voted overwhelmingly to appoint William Adams, Richard Corkran, Jason Reddish and Nayab Siddique as new Alernate members on the Committee.

Due to National Democratic Party rules, the County Central Committees must be gender balanced. With women constituting eight of the twelve elected committee members in Howard County, the new Central Committee was required to fill four Alternate slots.

The new Alternate members all have extensive backgrounds in Howard County campaigns and in supporting their communities. I look forward to working with them as we work to build a better Howard County!

Dear Friends,

I would like to take this moment to thank you all for your support and assistance in reaching this moment! Earlier tonight the Maryland Primary election results were called with nearly 7,000 votes cast in support of my candidacy for Howard County Democratic Central Committee. I will be joining the 11 other newly-elected Committee members and together we will work to support and elect Democratic candidates and officials who make the difficult decisions that make our County among the best in the country!

This has been an incredible and humbling experience and I could not have achieved this great result without your help. As a newly elected member of the Howard County Democratic Central Committee I will continue to support and work to elect the leaders who have made our businesses, schools, parks and libraries among the best in the country. This victory may be completed but a great deal of work still lies ahead of us. The November 2 general election is just around the corner and we must once again work to uphold the values and standards that we adhere to and enjoy every day.

Western Howard County Democratic Club Endorses Ethan!

In a very well attended meeting earlier tonight, the Western Howard County Democratic Club (WHCDC) endorsed my candidacy for the Howard County Democratic Central Committee! I am immensely proud and honored to be recognized by this incredible group. Only a few years old, the WHCDC continues to make significant contributions and improvements to the presence and representation of the Democratic Party in Western Howard County. No longer overwhelmingly Republican, the Western portion of our great County needs the efforts of WHCDC club members and the support of the Central Committee to help elect new, Democratic candidates in that area.

I am proud of the great work that our incumbent Democrats have done to make our community strong. Today’s Baltimore Sun article and the CDC endorsement meeting last week draw particular attention to these accomplishments. As a member of the Howard County Democratic Central Committee I will continue to work to support our Democratic incumbents and candidates so they can make the difficult, fiscally and socially responsible decisions that make our County great.

Ethan Earns the Endorsement of The Stonewall Democrats of Central Maryland PAC

I am honored to announce that I have earned the endorsement of the Stonewall Democrats of Central Maryland PAC (SDCM). Yesterday, the SDCM announced their unanimously decided endorsements. SDCM is the only Maryland grassroots Democratic LGBT organization that supports candidates who stand up for marriage equality for same-sex couples and against discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. I have been privileged to work with members of Howard County PFLAG, Equality Maryland, the Human Rights Campaign and others in the struggle to overcome the barriers that deny many people their most essential civil rights. I have made a personal, moral commitment to ending discrimination, and I will always stand up for and demand that all people have equal rights.

I thank the Stonewall Democrats of Central Maryland for their support and I hope you will also consider contributing to my campaign.

Columbia Democratic Club Endorses Ethan Moore

More than 200 of our neighbors joined together at the Columbia Democratic Club (CDC) Endorsement Meeting yesterday evening at Jeffers Hill Neighborhood Center to hear from and vote for local, state and federal candidates. 19 candidates for Central Committee were vying for a minimum of 54 votes out of the 107 voting members in the first ballot. With a full 70 percent of the vote, the members of the Columbia Democratic Club demonstrated their overwhelming support for my candidacy.

I am deeply grateful and humbled to receive the CDC’s endorsement and the support of so many of people in Howard County. This showing of our democratic process has also reaffirmed the important role that the Central Committee has in supporting the other endorsed candidates in order to elect leaders who consistently uphold the values and ideals that make our community strong.

With this endorsement and your vote in September, I will work to bring new, collaborative energy and forward motion to the Central Committee. With this endorsement and your vote, I will work to support and elect our Democratic leaders so they can continue making the hard choices that keep us among the most highly ranked and rated counties in the United States. We have great work yet to be done and I thank you for your support!
